About the conference

Why you should attend

This focused industry event brings together insurance professionals and technology leaders to explore how digital tools are reshaping the way insurance brokers, underwriting agencies and insurers operate – day to day and at scale.

Rather than future-gazing or broad trend-spotting, the program zeroes in on what’s working now.

From faster claims and fraud detection to compliance automation and catastrophe modelling, this event highlights real-world technology applications that support a smarter, more responsive insurance ecosystem.

Through targeted sessions, panel discussions and live demonstrations, attendees will gain insight into the systems and platforms improving speed, service, and certainty across the value chain.

Masterclass sessions

For 2026 a new format includes roundtable masterclass discussion on the real challenges facing insurtech and insurer alike. Some of the key sessions are:

  • Post-Quantum Readiness: Protecting the Industry’s Data Foundations
This session explores why leading insurers are already migrating to “quantum-resistant” cryptography to protect sensitive client data for the next 20 years.

  • The “Single Point of Failure” Crisis: Managing Third-Party API Risk
This session tackles “aggregation risk” and how to build a resilient tech stack that doesn’t collapse when a partner goes down.

  • EV Adoption is Accelerating: Are Insurers Ready?
The federal government goal is for 5 million electric vehicles to be on the road by 2035. This session explores what this will mean for the insurance claims process and whether we are ready for this fundamental change.

  • Further sessions to be announced

MASTERCLASS SESSIONS

Stream 1 – The Technology Blueprint to Building Smarter Insurance Businesses
Discover how insurers can use the right technology blueprint to build smarter, more agile businesses that are ready for the future. This session will explore how modern platforms, data-driven decision-making and connected systems can improve efficiency, customer experience and long-term growth.

  • Derek Hill & Jon Moody – INSTANDA

Stream 2 – Governance, Innovation and Impact: Scaling AI in Insurance
AI is moving faster than most insurers are set up to absorb. While expectations continue to rise, many organisations are still struggling to move from experimentation to measurable outcomes. Explore how insurers can scale AI responsibly, balancing innovation with governance, and share use cases demonstrating how AI is solving business challenges and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Mathew Finch & Baneesha Narang – Endava

Stream 3 – Post-Quantum Readiness: Protecting the Industry’s Data Foundations
With quantum computing nearing a “tipping point”, the encryption we use today is becoming vulnerable. This session explores why leading insurers are already migrating to “quantum-resistant” cryptography to protect sensitive client data for the next 20 years.

  • Anthony Lowe – Actuaries Institute

Stream 4 – The “Single Point of Failure” Crisis: Managing Third-Party API Risk
As brokers and insurers become more interconnected, a single outage at a major cloud or data provider can trigger thousands of simultaneous claims. This session tackles “aggregation risk” and how to build a resilient tech stack that doesn’t collapse when a partner goes down.

  • Benjamin Di Marco – WTW

Stream 5 – EV Adoption is Accelerating: Are Insurers Ready?
EVs make up 13% of new car sales in Australia but are only 2% of on road vehicles. We are a laggard globally. The federal government goal is for 5 million vehicles to be on the road by 2035. What will this mean for the insurance claims process and are we ready for this fundamental change?

  • Tom Moulder – Taylor Fry
  • Paul Sofronoff – Tesla

SESSION 4 ⇀ The Great Tech Debate: How Technology Can Help Build Trust in Insurance – Insurance suffers from a chronic trust deficit. Is technology the “Golden Thread” that finally binds the promise to the delivery, or is it a “Digital Wedge” driving us further from the customer? This session pits two polarising visions of 2026 and beyond against each other to solve this conundrum.

  • Shaun Quincey – Simfuni
  • Wendy Foweraker – CBN
  • Stuart Fisher – Suncorp
  • Victoria Smith – Stella Insurance
  • Adjudicator: Andrew Silcox – Insurance News

SESSION 5 ⇀ The 2030 Roadmap: Tech Leader Insights on “Intelligent Insurance” – A panel of tech leaders will look beyond 2026. They will discuss the shift from reactive claims handling to “proactive risk mitigation” where the insurer’s tech actually prevents the fire or leak before it happens, fundamentally changing the insurance business model.

  • Alex Taylor – QBE Ventures
  • Steve Dymond – Insurance Advisernet
  • Joanne Walker – Allianz
  • Jamie Smith – Fractional CIO
  • Moderator: Anna Cranney – Insurtech Australia
